Divine Secrets Of The Ya Ya Sisterhood by Rebecca Wells

let me begin by saying I'm very unsure about what I'm doing, so any advice would be appreciated.  Our October book is "Divine Secrets". So take your time over the next month and post comments or questions at your leisure.  We are all so busy in our very different lives so maybe we can make this pretty free and easy.  Our book choice for November is "Water For Elephants" by Sara Gruen. Maybe after that you guys can choose a couple of titles and we can go from there. So good luck I'm a little nervous out here in blog land but I've promised myself to try new things!!!

  1. Nancy, you're a star!. First time I've written on a blog site, too. Have got this month's book, and will write again as soon as I've started to read it. This is always provided I can find the site again.

    Congratulations on getting this started.

  2. I promised to write something once I'd started reading and I'm on page 58 now, so need to fulfil the promise. Great to read something of which at least a part is set in the Bayou country. Spent a little time there once and the descriptions really bring it back. Can feel the heat. The way the relationships are developing is interesting. I have to say, though, that it's about as far removed from my own experiences as anything I've ever read, so it may be a struggle to identify with some of the characters. But the writing style just forces you to read on - and so many different genres and shifts in time and place. So, I'm glad it was recommended. I wouldn't have read it otherwise.
